Questions schools ask
Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. The 30-day trial starts when you create your school account and gives you every feature. If you do nothing at the end of it, the account moves to read-only on Starter limits and nothing is charged. Choose a plan inside the app when you are ready.
Which plan does the trial use?
The trial gives full access so you can try everything, including inviting colleagues. When it ends you pick Starter or Pro. If your register has more than 50 pupils or you have more than one staff account, Pro is the plan that fits.
Are the prices per school or per user?
Per school. Starter includes one staff account and Pro includes up to five. MAT Enterprise is priced per school per year across the trust.
Is VAT included?
No. All prices exclude VAT, which is added at the standard rate on the invoice.
How does annual billing work?
Annual billing is 20% less than twelve monthly payments and is paid once a year in advance. You can switch between monthly and annual from the billing page inside the app.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Starter and Pro are paid by card through Stripe, which many schools do with a school procurement card. MAT Enterprise is billed annually by invoice. If your school needs an invoice for a single-school plan, contact us and we will arrange it.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You can export everything as JSON from the app at any time, including before you cancel. After cancellation the account becomes read-only, and we delete the school’s data on your instruction under the data processing agreement.
Is the AI drafting included, or charged per draft?
Included on every plan. There are fair-use limits per hour to protect the service, which a school will not normally reach. Drafting is switched on per pupil only after the school records its lawful basis and consent, and every draft is reviewed and edited by the SENCO before it is used. See responsible AI.
Do you offer discounts for special schools or charities?
Ask us. We would rather have the conversation than publish a rule we then have to apply unevenly. Get in touch with the school type and the size of your register.
