Built with SENCOs, for the part of the job that eats the week
Sendiphany exists because the statutory paperwork around EHC plans is necessary, repetitive and badly served by spreadsheets and inboxes. We are a small UK company making the school’s side of that process easier to do well.
The problem we are working on
The special educational needs co-ordinator, the SENCO (sometimes written SENDCo), is a qualified teacher who co-ordinates provision for every pupil with special educational needs in the school. The role is defined in section 67 of the Children and Families Act 2014 and paragraphs 6.84 to 6.94 of the SEND Code of Practice, which say the SENCO should have sufficient time and administrative support.
The surveys say otherwise. In the 2020 Bath Spa and nasen National SENCO Workload Survey, 74% of SENCOs said administration takes up the majority of their allocated SENCO time, and 15% had administrative support. The number of EHC plans in England has risen to 718,800 (DfE, January 2026), and only 46.1% of new plans in 2025 were issued within the statutory 20 weeks. Every one of those late plans is a school chasing a date.
We cannot change the statutory process. We can make the school’s side of it, the register, the dates, the evidence, the correspondence and the school’s written contribution, faster to do and harder to get wrong.
How we build
Sendiphany is developed with working SENCOs in England who use the product on their own caseloads and tell us, bluntly, what is wrong with it. We call them design partners. We do not publish their names or their schools’ logos; none of them has asked to be a reference, and we do not quote people who have not agreed in writing. Every statutory claim in the product and on this site carries its source, and the guides are reviewed against the regulations and the Code of Practice. When we get something wrong, we correct it and say so.
What we will not do
- Use pupil data to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.
- Sell, share or analyse school data for any purpose other than providing the service.
- Claim compliance, certification or outcomes we cannot evidence.
- Show a feature on the site before it exists in the product.
- Gate pricing behind a sales call. The prices are on the pricing page.
The company
Sendiphany Ltd is a UK company based in England. The product is hosted in the cloud using the providers listed on our sub-processors page, under the data processing agreement and privacy policy published here. We do not yet hold Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001; our security page says what is in place.

Four rules we hold ourselves to
Start from the statute
The Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Regulations 2014 set the dates and the sections. We build from those, cite them in the product, and publish the same material as free guides.
Draft, never decide
Software can assemble evidence and draft the school’s contribution. It cannot know a child. Every date is a prompt and every draft is edited and owned by the SENCO.
Say what is true
No invented statistics, no testimonials we cannot evidence, no certification badges we do not hold. If a feature is not built, it is not on the site.
Treat pupil data as the school’s
The school is the controller and we are the processor. Data is separated per school, never used to train AI, exportable at any time and deleted on instruction.
